Hi, my name is Jay Wasilewski and I am the founder of Foot Care United and the manager of the Foot Care United team at Chorley. I am a registered HCPC podiatrist and responsible for our general podiatry treatments and Gait analysis. I am also a complementary therapist and Reiki master and I will help to oversee our holistic treatments and the Reiki training courses which will be available soon. I feel the combination of both medical and complementary disciplines combine perfectly to offer holistic support.
Jackie Robinson - Foot Care United's Assistant
Hi, my name is Jackie Robinson and I would describe myself as a people’s person. Formally a qualified hairdresser, I hold a Diploma in beauty therapy and I have 15 years’ experience in the beauty industry. Over the last 10 years I have been actively involved in both supporting and promoting dementia awarness within our community and most recently worked within a podiatry led foot care project, both in a clinical setting and domiciliary. My main duty at Foot Care United is assisting in the basic nail cutting service.
Lynn Hope - Foot Care United's Assistant
Hi, my name is Lynn Hope and in 1984 I qualified as a RGN nurse and worked for several years in the NHS. I am also qualified in both manicure and pedicure with several years’ experience in foot care. I have been involved with various support projects such as the hospital after care service and a foot care project that is superintended by the NHS podiatry department. I enjoy working within the care sector and as a supportive colleague in the basic nail cutting service.
Giles Newport MSK Podiatrist BSc (Hons) MChS
Hi, My name is Giles Newport a HCPC registered Podiatrist specialising in musculoskeletal conditions effecting the lower limb. I am especially interested in the redistribution of pressure and forces via the use of orthotics (insoles) and often work with the rheumatoid and high risk diabetic foot within the NHS. Always wanting to be at the cutting edge of podiatric medicine I have worked with Professor Chris Nestor (Head of Research) and Dr Anita Williams at School of Health Science within the University of Salford on several European projects.
Gail Woodward Holistic Therapist
Hi, my name is Gail Woodward a qualified Holistic and Beauty Therapist, Reiki Master and college lecturer. I taught Holistic and Beauty therapies at Runshaw College in Chorley for many years before moving to Hugh Baird College in Liverpool. At Foot Care United I will be supporting Jay in Reiki Training which we intend to offer soon and our holistic treatments..
